I chose the Georges Malaika Foundation DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo)
Being half Congolese, I really appreciate this opportunity to support the beautiful country my family is from! This foundation aims to change the narrative of the DRC by bringing Congolese girls and their communities access to; education, clean water, and health programs.
The Malaika School currently educates over three hundred young girls with 100% of the students having passed their year six exams since 2017. The foundation has also created 20 wells in the DRC to supply residents with safe drinking water.
